Only Love Remains is Yemen Blues’ boldest offering yet. Unlike their prior releases, the eleven-track album was created from finished compositions by vocalist Ravid Kahalani after the band deliberately reserved a studio for two weeks with only a few of rudimentary ideas to build upon.

The result is a collective of music that embraces the strengths of all four accomplished musicians and the richness of their individual cultures. Co-produced by the band and New York-based Yemen Blues’ bassist Shanir Ezra Blumenkranz, known for his avant-garde work with John Zorn and Yo-Yo Ma, Only Love Remains is simultaneously a very direct and visceral emotional connection and an enigmatic spiritual quest, both enlightening and questioning.
